About me

👨‍💻 I am a lead (staff) research scientist & tech lead at Bosch Center for AI working on computer vision and embodied AI applications. In this role, I lead a team of research scientists on the design and development of foundation and GenAI models. Toward this goal, I use techniques from multimodal LLMs, diffusion models, 3D perception & captioning, self-supervised learning, and end-to-end autonomy.

🎓 I have received my Ph.D. from the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Minnesota, under the supervision of Prof. Mehmet Akçakaya, and the B.Sc. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Istanbul Technical University. My PhD dissertation has been awarded with 2023 Best Dissertation Award by IEEE Signal Processing Society.
